Q: When is the
Downtown Raleigh Home Tour?
A: The Home Tour is on Saturday, May 16, 2009,
11 am to 5 pm.
Q: Is there a charge to go on the Downtown Raleigh
Home Tour?
A: Yes. Tickets for the Home Tour are $10/person
when purchased online in advance (not available after 6 pm on Friday, May 15); $14/person when purchased the day
of the event
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: Visa and MasterCard
can be used to purchase tickets online in
advance. Cash and checks will be accepted for tickets purchased the
day of the event.
Q: How do I get the tickets
I have purchased online in advance?
A: Tickets will not be mailed. Tickets must be picked up at WILL CALL on Saturday, May 16 from 10:30 am-4 pm at the Tour Headquarters, Wachovia Capitol Center courtyard, 150 Fayetteville Street. Please bring a picture ID. When you pick up your ticket(s) at the Tour Headquarters, you will receive a map of the homes on the tour.
Q: Can I purchase tickets on the day
of the event?
A: Yes,
tickets can be purchased for $14/person at the Tour Headquarters,
Wachovia Capitol Building courtyard, 150 Fayetteville Street. Cash
and checks will be accepted. The Tour Headquarters will be open from
11 am-5 pm; however, ticket sales end at 4 pm. When you purchase your ticket at the Tour Headquarters,
you will receive a map of the homes on the tour.
Q: Does my child need a ticket?
A: Children 12 and younger
enter free and must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds.
Q: What is your policy on group tours?
A: We do not offer group tour discounts at this time.
Q: What happens if it rains the day of the event?
A: The
Downtown Raleigh Home Tour will be held rain or shine.
Q: Where should I park?
A: The Alexander
Square Parking Deck is FREE on
weekends and is located across the street from the Tour Headquarters
at the Wachovia Capitol Center Courtyard, 150 Fayetteville Street.
Space is limited so please click here for
additional listings of parking decks and lots. FREE on-street parking
with no time limit is available in a number of locations, but will
be scarce.
Q: What is the best way to get around to the various
locations?
A: Take the R-Line. The R-Line is a FREE circulator
bus service with many stops in close proximity to Tour locations.

Q: Is the Home Tour wheelchair accessible?
A: Some locations
are wheelchair accessible by elevator and via ramps.
Q: Can I bring my pet on the Home Tour?
A: With the exception
of assistance animals, pets are not allowed in the tour homes.
Q: What else should I know to
make participating on the Home Tour more enjoyable?
A: For your comfort
and the protection of the tour homes, please refrain from wearing
shoes with hard soles. Food, beverages, high heel shoes, strollers,
photography, and smoking are prohibited inside the homes. You may
be asked to remove your shoes at some locations.
This is a self-guided tour. Please travel the route at your leisure
and visit the stops in any order you wish. Although the stops are
numbered, you do not have to visit them in that order.
There is a variety of homes on the Tour – including individual homes,
model units, and sales centers. Please refer to the map for the description
of each home. If you are only interested in visiting downtown homes
to see their décor and style, visit stops listed as “private residence.”
For those of you interested in purchasing or leasing a home in downtown,
also visit the locations listed as “model unit,” sales center.”
