Membership Benefits
The most important benefit for membership in the Alliance is knowing that as a member of the downtown community, you are contributing to the future of downtown and helping to make Downtown Raleigh a thriving, economically vibrant place to live, work, and play.
Membership also includes:
Publications - All Alliance members receive e-newsletters that include detailed articles about downtown projects, events, and other Alliance-related news and can choose to receive email notification of breaking news stories regarding downtown developments as they are announced. Members of the shopping, dining, entertainment, and visitor services categories can also submit 10-word descriptions for their businesses to be used on the Alliance's website, www.GoDowntownRaleigh.com. Members of the shopping, dining, entertainment, and visitor services categories will also have their 10-word description and web address provided, as well as, business information in bold, italic in the "Discover Downtown" map/guides printed and distributed by the Alliance. Additionally, members can use the Downtown Raleigh or district logos in their advertising with Alliance approval.
Assistance/Advocacy - Members have access to the Alliance staff for assistance with any issue affecting the success of Downtown Raleigh. Corporate members are also entitled to have the CEO of the Alliance conduct an annual presentation of Downtown Raleigh's progress to their entire staff or management team, schedule permitting.
Networking - All members are invited to the Alliance's annual meeting to discuss the progress of Downtown Raleigh's revitalization and review the Alliance's efforts. Alliance members are also invited to attend mixers to meet and greet other business leaders from the downtown community. The Alliance also hosts educational programs to discuss best practices of downtown revitalization and other topics relevant to downtown development.
Involvement - Members may serve on task forces and are also eligible for election to the Alliance's Board of Directors. Input is also solicited from members on policy issues facing downtown and utilized in shaping the Alliance's advocacy efforts.
Business Enhancement - Members are also permitted to use the Alliance's new marketing suite to host potential tenants, developers, and investors or to conduct other downtown-related meetings, according to availability. Additionally, members are encouraged to submit special deals and coupons to be listed on the 'Downtown Deals' section of the Alliance's monthly e-newsletter.
RCV Sponsoring member
The Alliance is excited to offer a new level of sponsoring membership to the organization’s non-profit subsidiary, Raleigh Civic Ventures. As the momentum of downtown's revitalization soars to unprecedented heights, so does the onus to fortify the Alliance's capacity to fulfill its mission. The charge of the Alliance to successfully advocate for issues of regulatory reform, work with developers, recruit new businesses, market downtown, and maintain downtown's pedestrian areas requires time and resources. As a small non-profit organization, both time and resources are scarce, meaning that your sponsorship dollars will be utilized in an effective and efficient fashion.
In addition to the benefits associated with membership, sponsorship-level membership also includes:
- Logo recognition on the Alliance's new and improved website in coordination with the City of Raleigh.
- A tax-deductible receipt for the sponsorship funds
- Recognition at the Alliance's annual meeting
- The option to host mixers to showcase your downtown space
- Sponsorship plaque in the marketing suite
- Logo recognition in Alliance newsletters
