Raleigh Project Homeless Connect

Project Homeless Connect is a one-day event held concurrently on Thursday, September 25th with events in Durham and Orange counties. The goal is to connect people who are homeless with services that are available in the community that will help them become more self-sufficient.

Over 30 local non-profit and public agencies and over 200 volunteers will be on hand to provide direct services to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness. Last year over 600 individuals received services at the first annual Project Homeless Connect. Services include medical screenings and immunizations; housing referrals; information on shelters; counseling; applications for assistance with Medicaid, Food Stamps and Disability; clothing; haircuts; showers; legal assistance; identification cards; hygiene kits; and many more services. Raleigh Project Homeless Connect is sponsored by the City of Raleigh, the Raleigh/Wake 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness, Triangle United Way, Wake County Government, the Wake Housing and Homeless Coalition and Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network.
