Doing Business in Downtown Raleigh
Economic development is the core of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance’s mission. To fulfill that mission, the Alliance has developed a multi-faceted economic development strategy that includes activities such as: working with businesses and developers interested in Downtown Raleigh, tracking and benchmarking data on downtown, marketing downtown, producing the Guide to Downtown Raleigh and monthly e-newsletters, compiling a database of available commercial real estate in downtown, producing quarterly economic development reports, establishing key partnerships with city staff and businesses, and holding public meetings for downtown stakeholders. These are of course only a portion of our ongoing efforts to carry out the vision established by Livable Streets.
The Downtown Raleigh Alliance is pleased to provide assistance to individuals planning to establish or relocate a business to Downtown Raleigh. As a non-profit organization, we have the ability to provide a guarantee of confidentiality to prospects. Most of the information you need is already housed on this site, but you are welcome to contact the Alliance regarding your specific needs. Our staff can provide businesses with help in site selection, market analysis, and guidance through the planning and approval processes.
To facilitate economic development and business recruitment efforts, the Alliance works closely with Adrienne Cole at the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, who handles the City of Raleigh’s corporate headquarters recruitment efforts. Additional economic development information can be found at www.Raleigh4U.com.
The City of Raleigh Planning Department website also has very helpful information that may be of assistance, and can be reached at http://www.raleigh-nc.org/planning/index.htm. The Planning Department’s contact for downtown economic development is Trisha Hasch.
To contact the Alliance for specific economic development assistance, please e-mail Paul Reimel, the Alliance’s Economic Development Manager.
