The Triangle Run/Walk for Autism, formerly the Autism Ribbon Run, includes a 5 K race that is part of the Second Empire Grand Prix Series as well as a non-competitive 5 K division, 1 Mile Fun-Run, and free Kid's Dash for children 6 and under.
Proceeds from the event benefit the statewide programs and services provided by the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC). ASNC provides advocacy, education, supported living services, vocational and day services, recreational opportunities, training, consultation, and legislative and policy advocacy across North Carolina. Your support of the Triangle/Run Walk for Autism will enable these important programs to continue making a difference all across the state.

Associated Street Closures:
Competive 5K Race(Starting at 9 am) and Noncompetive 5K Race (Starting at 9:20 am): The group will assemble at the starting area in the 200 block of South Blount Street. At 9 am the runners will proceed north on Blount Street to Mulberry Street, east on Mulberry Street to Courtland Drive, south on Courtland Drive to Mordecai Drive, turn west on Mordecai Drive to Person Street, south on Person Street to the finish area in the 200 block of South Person street.
1 Mile Fun Run – (Starting at 9:40 am)
The group will assemble at the starting area in the 200 block of South Blount Street. At 9:40 am the runners will proceed north on Blount Street to North Street, east on North Street to Person Street, south on Person Street to the finish area in the 200 block of South Person street.
The following streets will also be closed:
1. The 200 and 300 blocks of South Person Street from 7 am until 12 noon to allow for the assembly and disassembly of the finish area.
2. The 200 block of East Martin Street from 8 am until 12 noon.
3. The two left hand travel lanes in the 200 block of South Blount Street from 7 am until 8:30 am at which time the entire block will be closed until the conclusion of the event.
The blocking of just the two lanes of South Blount will allow the CAT buses to exit the Moore Square transit station until just prior to the beginning of the 5k race at 9 am and the 1 mile fun run at approximately 9:40 am. The transit station entrance will be completely blocked from just before 9 am until 10 am.
