Healthy Downtown

Join us on February 20, 2014 for a 3-course heart healthy meal, fun activities and a presentation featuring Raleighite's thoughts on what makes a healthy city, and what downtown Raleigh has to offer in regards to urban living, working, and playing.

The Downtown Raleigh Alliance invites you to our Annual Meeting and Downtown Achievement Awards program to honor, recognize and celebrate the contributions of individuals, businesses and organizations that are making downtown Raleigh a more vibrant urban core.

We will also provide a view into what is next for this dynamic, quickly evolving, downtown center.  You can expect an atypical evening in Raleigh with many surprises as we highlight our culture and vision as a community.

Achievement Awards

One of the main highlights of the evening will be the Downtown Achievement Awards program. Each year, downtown Raleigh is greatly enhanced by projects completed through partnerships of individuals, organizations, businesses, and governments.

Several awards will be presented for new construction and rehabilitation projects, completed in 2013, that significantly contributed to the identity of downtown Raleigh. Images of these remarkable projects will be presented.

The Downtown Advocate Award will recognize an outstanding individual whose advocacy and commitment positively impacted downtown in 2013.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will honor an extraordinary individual whose involvement and contributions to making downtown vibrant have been realized through a lifetime.
