3rd Annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial

Honor the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters on Saturday, May 3. The parade will begin at 10 am and the memorial service will begin at 1 pm.

Associated Street Closures:
The group will assemble at the 700-900 blocks of Hillsborough Street (west of St. Mary's Street) and the 100-500 blocks of St. Mary’s Street (north of Hillsborough Street) beginning at 8 am.
At 10 am the parade will proceed east on Hillsborough to Dawson, south on Dawson to the Nash Square area. Units from the parade will turn east on Martin and continue circling the park back to Hargett Street where they will
begin to park in a successive manner around Nash Square along the adjacent curb lines.
The parade will end by 12 noon.
In order to facilitate parking around Nash Square, the parking spaces adjacent to the park as well as one adjacent travel lane on the 200 blocks of S. Dawson Street, W. Martin Street and S. McDowell St, will be closed from 8 am until 4 pm.
The 200 block of W. Hargett Street, between Dawson and McDowell, will be closed from 8 am until 4 pm.
The northern most travel lane of the 300 block of W. Hargett Street, between Dawson and Harrington, will be closed from 8 am until 4 pm.
