Activate Raleigh is a downtown volunteer initiative that will take place on September 11, 2012. Downtown Raleigh Alliance has partnered with Activate Good, The City of Raleigh, and several downtown businesses to participate in volunteer activities that day. There will be several opportunities for the public, downtown residents, and other downtown workers to give back in remembrance of the 11th anniversary of 9/11. We created this event to provide a positive way to remember and pay tribute to the 9/11 victims, honor those that rose in service in response to the attacks, and remind people of the importance of working closely together in peace to improve our community.
