Author of “Complaint-Free Relationships” Shares Insight

Location: Unity Church of the Triangle at the Long View Ctr

Date: Saturday February 20th, 2010
Time: 2 pm-4 pm

International best-selling author Will Bowen will share insights from his latest book “Complaint-Free Relationships, How to Positively Transform Your Personal, Work and Love Relationships.”

In 2006, Bowen, Lead Minister of One Community Spiritual Center in Kansas City, MO, launched the Complaint-Free World movement. Bowen created purple “complaint-free” bracelets, suggesting his congregation use them to monitor their success at eradicating complaining from their lives. Thanks to interviews with Oprah and other television programs and news articles, his idea exploded around the world and now, more than 6 million purple Complaint-Free bracelets have been sent to people in over 106 countries. Bowen’s new book explains how to craft complaint-free relationships at work and at home.

The average person complains 20 to 30 times a day. Most people lose their jobs due to attitude and performance problems, not poor job or technical skills. Psychologists and sociologists have found that the amount and frequency of complaining is the deciding factor in happy relationships versus unhappy ones. Bowen will give tactics on how to create satisfying and supportive relationships at work, home and with friends; how to change others; and how to find fulfillment on the job and in personal relationships, with the ultimate goal of being treated with kindness, dignity and respect.

Tickets for the event, cosponsored by the Unity churches of the Triangle area, are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Childcare is provided but pre-registration is required by Monday, February 15.
