Bank of America Raleigh Rocks Half Marathon and 5K

Location: Downtown Raleigh

Date: Saturday April 5th, 2008
Time: Half Marathon (8 am); 5K (8:05 am); 1 Mile Fun Run (11:30 am); 100 Yard Kids Dash (11:45 am)

The Half Marathon features bands playing along the course. Concert and Kids Festival follow on Fayetteville Street 

Part of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Half Marathon Series.

Associated Street Closures:
The participants will begin to assemble on S. Wilmington Street between Hargett and Martin
at 7 am. At 8 am the participants will proceed north on Wilmington to Cedar, east on Cedar to Blount, south on Blount to Davie, west on Davie to Wilmington, north on Wilmington and loop around the Archdale Building onto Salisbury, south on Salisbury to Hillsborough, west on Hillsborough to Dixie Trail, north on Dixie Trail to Mayview, west on Mayview to Stacey, north on Stacy to Beaver Dam, west on Beaver Dam to Faircloth, south on Faircloth to Hillsborough, west on Hillsborough towards Blue Ridge, turn around before Blue Ridge and proceed east on Hillsborough to Salisbury, south on Salisbury to Morgan, east on Morgan to Fayetteville, south on Fayetteville to the finish line near Martin Street.

There will also be a 5K race beginning at 8:05 am at the same start line. Runners will proceed north on Wilmington to Edenton, west on Edenton to Salisbury, south on Salisbury to Hillsborough, west on Hillsborough and turn around just before Oberlin and return east on Hillsborough to Salisbury, south on Salisbury to Morgan, east on Morgan to Fayetteville, and south onto Fayetteville to the finish line.

There will also be a 1 mile run starting at 11:15 am starting on Fayetteville Street. The runners will proceed north on Fayetteville to Morgan, east on Morgan to Wilmington, north on Wilmington to Edenton, west on Edenton to Salisbury, south on Salisbury to Morgan, east on Morgan to Fayetteville, and south on Fayetteville to the finish line.

Additionally, the 400 block of Fayetteville Street will be closed from 11 am until 6 pm.
