The Open Call for Ideas will kick off the creative process of soliciting site and programming ideas for Moore Square Park. City-wide public participation is encouraged among all who are vested in the Park: residents, CACs, environmental groups, Downtown Raleigh Alliance membership, the Moore Square property owners and businesses, local schools, and universities, and neighborhood and parks advocates.
The Open Call for Ideas is an opportunity for the public to contribute their big - and not so big - ideas for the Park. Ideas may evolve from resident and visitor memories, current user experiences, and community conversations throughout the city about the Park's significant history and its future as a communal gathering place.
During the Open Call for Ideas, attendees can participate in a range of activities. For more details, click here.
Ideas will be gathered at each event, summarized, mounted, and displayed in an exhibition in Downtown and on the internet. The results of the Open Call for Ideas will be summarized in a publication for distribution to City Council, included as a background briefing for the Design Competition, and made available to the public here on the website.

For anyone unable to attend the Open Call on Wednesday, June 17, the city will offer a second Open Call on Saturday, June 27 from 12 noon-4 pm at Chavis Community Center (505 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.)
