AthleticsNative is proud to present the 3rd Annual Capital City Classic! Imagine a running experience that combines the festivity of road running with the excitement of track racing. A running experience that caters to beginning runners and walkers with an exciting and scenic tour of our beautifully revitalized capital city. A running event where unique family entertainment highlights the course to inspire its runners onto the finish and unparalled participant amenities in the metropolitan Fayetteville Street. A competition where the state's fastest harriers compete for a N.C. State Championship Title and their share of a $3,000 prize purse. Come and experience what promises to be North Carolina's premier running experience!
Associated Street Closures:
The runners will assemble in the 200 block of Fayetteville Street. At 8 am the runners will proceed north and turn left onto Morgan Street, right onto Salisbury Street, left onto Edenton Street and proceed west until it merges into Hillsborough Street, continue west on Hillsborough Street, right onto Hillcrest Road, left onto Benehan Street, left onto Forest Road, left onto Hillsborough Street, continue east until it merges into Morgan Street, continue east on Morgan Street, right onto Boylan Street, right onto Cabarrus Street which changes into Dorothea Drive, right onto Boylan Street, left onto Western Blvd utilizing the westbound lanes of Western Blvd, continue east on Western Blvd to Martin Luther King Blvd, left onto Wilmington Street, continue north on Wilmington Street and make the U-turn at the Archdale Building onto Salisbury Street, left onto Morgan Street, right onto Fayetteville Street and return to the start finish.
