Earth Day

Burt's Bees and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences celebrate the planet, the local community, and the 40th anniversary of Earth Day with a seventies-themed festival dedicated to sustainable leaving. 

Throughout the day, activities include:

  • Celebrate - Locally grown foods and eco-conscious goods at the Burt’s Bees Bonanza Tent Sale and the Green Bazaar.
  • Educate - Hands-on lessons, demonstrations, and exhibitors offering practical ways to protect and restore the environment.
  • Motivate - Games and activities for kids and adults to inspire eco-smart play.
  • Merrymake - Live performances including great local bands and fun festivities.

 


Associated Street Closures:
The 00 block of East Jones Street from 6:00 pm on 4-16-10 until midnight Saturday night. The far right travel lane and parking spaces on the 00 block of East Edenton Street from 6:00 am on 4-16-10 until midnight 4-17-10. The entire 00 block of Edenton Street will be closed at 8:00 pm on 4-16-10 until midnight 4-17-10.
