Five Friends From Japan

Join us as we open the Five Friends From Japan special exhibit with an all day adventure! Experience the old and the new with giant-sized origami building, storytelling, anime-drawing, karaoke, taiko drumming, and martial arts demonstrations. Connect through similarities, learn through differences and have a wonderful time in the process!
About the Exhibit:
Step into the daily lives of five Japanese children as you explore this special exhibit with quality hands-on activities, vibrant interactive media and intense focus on cultural similarities and differences. From school to home and everywhere in between, Five Friends From Japan offers an intimate look into young Japanese culture. Designed for children ages 5 - 12 and their families, the exhibit invites visitors into the daily lives of five Japanese children.
Created by the Children's Museum of Boston and Capital Children's Museum, Five Friends is a part of the Asian Exhibit Initiative, funded by the Freeman Foundation and administered by the Association of Children's Museums.
Five Friends From Japan, presented by Marbles Kids Museum, is supported in Raleigh by United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County, with funds from the United Arts campaign and the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Entrance to this special exhibit is free with admission to the museum.
