In celebration of the Moore Square Farmers Markets’ fourth season, and to raise awareness about its mission to bring the highest quality local growers and food artisans together in downtown Raleigh, select restaurants will feature a “Green Plate Special” in their restaurants the last Wednesday of each month this season. Each “Green Plate Special” will highlight farm-fresh ingredients from the Moore Square Farmers Market. The “Green Plate Special” will serve as a reminder throughout the season about the outstanding local fare at this boutique market in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
Zely and Ritz will kick-off the “Green Plate Special” with a savory dish featuring roast pork shoulder (from Coon Rock Farm) over roasted turnips and bok choy & sage sauce for only $13.95.
Diners can also enjoy the Chef Tasting Menu for $65 per Couple which includes:
1st Course: Pork paté or poached egg on top of Black Bok Choy.
2nd Course: Roast pork shoulder over roasted turnips and bok choy & sage sauce or roasted leg of goat over sauté greens and crispy polenta & curry sauce.
3rd Course: Strawberry tort with soft cream (Strawberry’s from Ball’s Berries and Produce)
