Get in the spirit this holiday season at the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis®. Be one of the thousands of runners and walkers who hit the nation’s pavements, pathways and parks this winter to fight arthritis, the nation’s most common cause of disability.
Jingle Bell Run/Walk® is a fun and festive way to kick off your holidays by helping others! Wear a holiday themed costume. Tie jingle bells to your shoelaces. Run or walk a 5 kilometer route with your team members and celebrate the season by giving.
Associated Street Closures:
In conjunction with the Jingle Bell Run on Saturday, December 5, the streets associated with the following course will be closed:
The runners will assemble on the 100 block of St. Mary's Street at 8:30 am. There will actually be two races: a 1 mile run beginning at 10 am and a 5K run beginning at 10:30 am. Both races will utilize the same streets. Runners will proceed south on St. Mary's and turn west onto Hillsborough Street. Runners involved in the 1 mile run will turn around at West Park and return to the start/finish line. Runners in the 5K event will continue west on Hillsborough to Logan Court where they will turn around and proceed east on Hillsborough to Salisbury Street. At Salisbury Street the runners will turn around and proceed west on Hillsborough to St. Mary's Street and proceed north on St. Mary's Streetback to the start/finish line.
