Megalodon: Largest Shark that ever Lived

At 60 feet long and weighing more than 100 tons, Carcharodon megalodon was the most powerful fish that ever lived and a dominant marine predator. While the Megalodon vanished 2 million years ago, its fascinating story continues to inspire lessons for contemporary science and shark conservation. “Megalodon,” the newest special exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, opens February 13 and runs through May 9, 2010.

Cost: $7 Adults; $5 Seniors/Students; $4 Children (5–11)
