Join us on Wednesdays for Raleigh's only downtown Farmers Market located under the canopy of oak trees in Moore Square (at the intersection of Blount and Martin Streets). Items for sale will include a huge variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants from local growers, pasture raised meats from local farmers such as Coon Rock Farm, and even NC seafood from Southport Seafood. The market will also offer a range of handmade items from local artisans, including breads from La Farm Bakery, cheeses from Celebrity Dairy, and ice cream from Lumpy's and feature crafters on a rotating basis.
You can also enjoy live performances by local musicians and lunch items prepared by rotating restaurants and vendors.
In celebration of the markets’ fourth season, and to raise awareness about its mission to bring the highest quality local growers and food artisans together in downtown Raleigh, select restaurants will feature a “Green Plate Special” in their restaurants the last Wednesday of each month this season. Each “Green Plate Special” will highlight farm-fresh ingredients from the Moore Square Farmers Market; with some specials available as single dishes at lunchtime and others offered as pre-fixe wine-paired dinners in the evening. (Check www.YouRHere.com/FarmersMarket for more details soon.) The “Green Plate Special” will serve as a reminder throughout the season about the outstanding local fare at this boutique market in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Current participating restaurants include Mo’s Diner, Jibarra, Second Empire, Zely & Ritz and Poole’s Diner.
Join us at the Moore Square Farmers Market and support your local growers!
