If so,  you will enjoy the Artspace-Downtown Raleigh Alliance "Painting Downtown Raleigh: Luncheon and Artist Demonstration at Artspace."

This event, produced by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, is a luncheon and an artist demonstration at Artspace on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, 11:30am-1pm. There will be a brief introduction to the group from Artspace Executive Director, Mary Poole, and then the group will be divided, so that staff and volunteers can escort them to individual studios for hands-on artist demonstrations. Artists include:

* Paris Alexander, Sculptor
* Ann Harwell, Quilt Artist
* Dianne Rodwell, Painting, Mixed Media
* Lauren Van Hemert, Jewelry/Clay

This event:

* Promotes support for the arts among downtown Raleigh residents, workers, and businesses
* Provides educational opportunities for artists by marketing and promoting their works
* Provides community pride in downtown Raleigh
* Encourages the growth of arts-related businesses in downtown Raleigh
