On Saturday, May 30 at 2 pm, children become artists at the Portraits of Raleigh Kid’s Art Studio! Offered in conjunction with the Raleigh City Museum’s newest exhibit, Portraits of Raleigh: Images of a City and Her People, kids will have the opportunity to create their own portrait of Raleigh by using crayons, markers, watercolors, and more! Museum staff will also lead children on a brief tour of the exhibit and help them brainstorm ideas for their Raleigh related art. These masterpieces will then be taken home where they can be proudly displayed. The program with conclude with “Raleigh Roundup,” a picture game where children identify famous Raleigh landmarks.
