Raleigh 101: 200+ Years of Local History

Learn about two hundred years of rich and fascinating Raleigh history on Saturday, August 8 at 2:00p.m. at the Raleigh City Museum. Hosted by museum staff, Raleigh 101 highlights the city’s major moments and events that have shifted the course of local history. Topics include the city’s earliest inhabitants, the construction of the Capitol, Raleigh during the Civil War, and the future of our great city. Whether you’re a Raleigh native or new to the area, this introduction to the state capital has something for everyone. This event is open to the public. Admission is free.
