On Saturday, December 17th, visit the Raleigh City Museum to learn more about customs from holidays past. From 1-4 pm, we will display artifacts and facts from celebrations of Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years from the 1850s-1950s in Raleigh. We will also learn about the early days of the “modern” Christmas in the mid-19th century, including where we got our Christmas trees, cards, presents and sweets. Come and try some Victorian wintertime treats and toys!
