Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival

Time: Parade start at 12 noon

The Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee is the organizer and sponsor for the parade and co-sponsor for the after parade activities held downtown in Moore Square . The parade grows bigger and better every year. The Raleigh parade is the second largest in the Southeast.

The parade has over 3,500 marchers including floats, pipe and drum bands, horses, dancers and many recognizable mascots. The parade is a celebration for all ethnic groups and cultures.

The festival will take place in Moore Square after the parade.

Associated Street Closures:
The parade will assemble in the 500 block of Wilmington Street (between Cabarrus and Lenoir Streets) beginning at 11 am.

At 12 pm, the parade will proceed north on Wilmington Street to Davie Street, west on Davie Street to Fayetteville Street, north on Fayetteville Street to Morgan Street, east on Morgan Street to Wilmington Street, north on Wilmington Street to Edenton Street, east on Wilmington Street to Blount Street, south on Blount Street to Martin Street where the parade will disassemble.

A portion of the 200 block of Martin Street (between Blount and Blake Streets) will be closed from 7 am until 5 pm for festivities associated with the parade.

Additionally, the 200 block of Martin Street (between Blount and Person Streets) will be closed from 1 pm until 1:30 pm.

Also, Fayetteville Street (between Morgan Street and the Hannover Plaza) will be designated as no parking from 6 am until 1:30 pm.
