Raleigh, N.C. – Established in January 2000, the Regional Emerging Artist program provides emerging visual artists with time and space to explore their work in a supportive, thriving, artistic environment. Artspace grants two 6-month residencies per year, twice a year selecting an artist in his or her early professional career from a regional pool of applicants.

From 2005-2008, eight artists took part in this residency program. Seven of these artists are represented in this exhibition: Meredith Brickell, Claire Burdulis, Emily Cash, Marie Cordella, Amanda Micheletto, Casey Porn, and Lorna Wang. On view is the varied work produced by these artists, including paintings, ceramics, weavings, garments, and more.
