The 2nd Annual Run For Our Heroes 5k race/walk is held to honor and remember the Eight Fallen Raleigh Police Officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice while serving the citizens of Raleigh.
Proceeds from this event will go to the Raleigh Police Memorial Foundation. The Raleigh Police Memorial Foundation is a recognized, non-profit 501-C charitable organization whose initial goal is to assist in the building of a memorial honoring the eight Raleigh Police Officers who have died in the line of duty.
Associated Street Closures:
The group will assemble in the 100 block of South Dawson Street beginning at 8 am.
At 9 am the runners will proceed south on Dawson Street and turn left onto Davie Street, left onto Fayetteville Street, right onto Morgan Street, left onto Wilmington Street, cross over Peace Street, right onto Oak Chase Street, right onto Blount Street, right onto Hargett Street to the finish line on the 200 block of West Hargett Street. There will also be a Kids Dash at 10 am.
