Landscape Details is a close look at the small details that make up the landscape around us. Birds perched on power lines, bare branches in a cold climate, and familiar road signs are some of the images that inspired Powers. The work in this exhibition is mixed media, with collage, pouring mediums, and silkscreen, as well as layers of paint and drawings. Powers is a Raleigh-based artist whose mixed media work focuses on industrial and rural landscapes and landscape details. Her work has been featured in galleries across the U.S. including Rhode Island's risd l works, The Sarah Doyle Gallery at Brown University, and Glance Gallery, Vision Gallery and Artspace in North Carolina. Powers is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design.
