Shattering White Solidarity: A History of the Southern Tenan

North Carolina Museum of History Associates welcomes Elizabeth Anne Payne from the University of Mississippi. Payne will examine the Southern Tenant Farmers’ Union to provide an understanding of the life of the southern poor, southern labor activities, and the origins of the Civil Rights movement in the Mid-South. This lecture, part of the series Perspectives on History, is presented in conjunction with the National Humanities Center and sponsored by the N.C. Museum of History Associates. The cost of the event is $5 (free to Museum of History Associates members)
