- Convenient parking close to the race start/finish at Moore Square
- Post-race street party hosted by Tir na nOg Irish Pub. The beer truck will have beer available for purchase (21 and above).
- A "green" sustainable event with minimal landfill waste. "Electronic" race packets, natural, compostable food and drink containers, and other earth-friendly initiatives.
Street Closures:
The 200 block of South Blount Street will be closed at 12:30 pm to facilitated set up of the start/finish area. At 3:00 pm the runners will proceed north on Blount Street, right onto Jones Street, left onto Bloodworth Street, right onto Pace Street, right onto East Street, left onto Jones Street, left onto Elm Steet, right onto Boundary Street, right onto Watauga , left onto Oakwood Street, left onto State Street, left onto Monroe Drive, left onto Brookside Drive, right onto East Stret left onto Pace Street, left onto Bloodworth Street, right onto Jones Street, left onto Blount Street and return to the start/finish line.
The race will conclude by 4:30 pm. there is an after party in conjunction with Tir Na Nog utilizing the 200 block of South Blount Street until 10:00 pm. The roadway will be open for traffic by 11:00 pm.
