St. Patty's Run Green 8K and After Party

Registration is now open for the 4th annual St. Paddy's Run Green 8k! 2012 is going to be another great year for the race! As always, there will be live Irish music, tasty food from Tir na nOg Irish Pub, and the first beer is free (for runner's age 21+ of course)! This year you will also get a free race tech shirt!

Enjoy race contests sponsored by the nOg Run Club: Fastest kilted runners, best St. Paddy's theme costumes, and best team costume (at least 3 runners, and must finish at the same time)!

The first 2,000 registered 8K runners receive their first beer is free (age 21+) and a free race tech shirt!

Highlights of this great event include:
Post-race street party hosted by Tir na nOg Irish Pub. The beer truck will have beer available for purchase (21 and above).
Bands will be playing in Moore Square, great beer and food provided by Tir na nOg all evening!

A "green" sustainable event with minimal landfill waste, natural, compostable food and drink containers, and other earth-friendly initiatives.

Avoid picking your bib and shirt up at the last minute, join us for advanced packet pickup on:
Thursday, 3/1 from 4pm to 7pm at Fleet Feet Sports Raleigh in Ridgewood Shopping Center
Friday, 3/2 from 3pm to 7pm at Tir na nOg Irish Pub (218 Blount St. in downtown Raleigh)

Associated Street Closures:
The 200 block of South Blount Street will be closed at 12:30 pm to facilitate set up of the start/finish area.
At 3 pm the runners will proceed north on Blount Street, right onto Jones Street, left onto Bloodworth Street, right onto Pace Street, right onto East Street, left onto Jones Street, left onto Elm Street, right onto Boundary Street, right onto Watauga Street, left onto Oakwood Avenue, left onto State Street, left onto Monroe Drive, left onto Brookside Drive, right onto East left onto Pace Street, left onto Bloodworth Street, right onto Jones Street, left onto Blount Street and return to the start/finish line.

The race will conclude by 4:30 pm. There will be an after party in conjunction with Tir Na Nog utilizing the 200 block of South Blount Street until 10:30 pm. The roadway will be open for traffic by 11:15 pm.
