Bland Simpson, Professor of English and Creative Writing, UNC-Chapel Hill will speak on October 9th from 3 to 4 pm at the North Carolina Museum of History. Simpson blends personal experience, oral history, and natural history to create an intriguing portrait of the Great Dismal Swamp and its people. A book signing will follow the program. Cost: Free
