The Old Reliable Run

Your participation in the 24th Old Reliable Run matters for thousands of people in our community who need help. Show you care and join the fight to improve lives across the region. An added attraction along with the 10K run includes the 5K for the recreational walker/runner who wants to feel good while doing good. Proceeds benefit the Triangle United Way Community Care Fund and help to improve lives across the Triangle. All individuals even if you are part of a team need to register here.

Associated Street Closures:
1 pm - 5K:
The group will assemble in the 200 block of South McDowell Street between Hargett and Martin Streets. The race will proceed north on McDowell Street to Hillsborough Street, west on Hillsborough Street turning around at Enterprise Street, east on Hillsborough Street to McDowell Street, south on McDowell Street returning to the start/finish area.
2 pm - 10K:
The group will assemble in the 200 block of South McDowell Street between Hargett and Martin Streets. The race will proceed north on McDowell Street to Morgan Street, east on Morgan Street to Person Street, north on Person until it turns into Wake Forest Road, north on Wake Forest Road to Chestnut Street, west on Chestnut Street to Mordecai Drive, south on Mordecai Drive to Delway Street, west on Delway Street to Blount Street, south on Blount Street to Edenton Street, west on Edenton Street to Salisbury Street, south on Salisbury Street to Hillsborough Street, west on Hillsborough Street to Enterprise Street, south on Enterprise (circle around the Bell Tower) and proceed north to Hillsborough Street, east on Hillsborough Street to McDowell Street, south on McDowell Street returning to the start/finish area.
3:30 pm - 1 mile Fun Run:
The group will assemble in the 200 block of South McDowell Street between Hargett and Martin Streets. The race will proceed north on McDowell Street to Hillsborough Street, west on Hillsborough turning around at Glenwood Avenue, east on Hillsborough to McDowell Street, south on McDowell Street returning to the start/finish area.
3:45 pm - 100 Yard Kids Dash:
The group will assemble in the 100 block of South McDowell Street between Morgan and Hargett Street. The race will proceed south on McDowell Street to the start/finish area in the 200 block of South McDowell Street.
Set up for the race start/finish area will begin at 9 am; however, the races will all be run after 1 pm.
