Pasta with Broccoli Florets

 

What you’ll need:

Florets cut from 1 head of broccoli

½ pound of pasta

2 tablespoons of olive oil

2 tablespoons of butter

1 glove of garlic, minced

½ pound of mushrooms (whole, halved, or sliced)

¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese

 

Directions:

Cook broccoli florets in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.  Remove with slotted spoon.  Cook pasta in same water (or use fresh if you prefer).  Meanwhile, heat olive oil and butter in a skillet.  Sauté garlic and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes.  Stir in broccoli.  Drain pasta, and toss with broccoli mixture.  Add cheese to taste.  Serves 2-4.
