In addition to Moore and Nash Squares two of Raleigh’s most treasured parks, Pullen Park and Chavis Park, are within a mile of Downtown Raleigh and the pastoral Dorothea Dix property bounds downtown to the south. Raleigh’s heralded greenway system can be accessed on either the east or the south side of downtown. Even man’s best friend has recreational facilities at the Oakwood dog park.
