Kelly MarCom Wins CREW Award for Most Creative Project

SANFORD, N.C. – May 2, 2006 – Kelly MarCom, a full-service marketing communications firm, recently won the Triangle Crew Champion Award for the most creative advertising/marketing project, which was the design of the identity system including a new logo for downtown Raleigh, N.C. The 2006 Champion Awards are sponsored by the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women. The annual competition recognizes excellence in the commercial real estate industry in the Triangle region.

Kelly MarCom Vice President Jamie Kelly accepted the award from North Carolina Lt. Governor Beverly Purdue and Nancy Hormann, president of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance.

“The logo and identity system is based on an actual representation of the main streets in the city that connect the five districts of Raleigh,” explained Jamie Kelly. “Our goal is to attract business and people who will bring a new energy to downtown Raleigh.”

"We are proud to receive this honor from the commercial real estate community,” said Shelley Kelly, president of Kelly MarCom. “This project was able to capture the essence of downtown through this contemporary, eye-catching logo that will make it easier for visitors to navigate the city, and at the same time help locals learn that there is more to discover downtown.”

Kelly MarCom is involved in several real estate marketing programs with clients ranging from medical, commercial and residential real estate properties. The firm’s latest projects are The Fields, an equestrian residential community in Moore County, as well as Wilmington’s major central city revitalization project, a large urban mixed-use development on the waterfront.

The downtown Raleigh logo also earned Kelly MarCom a 2006 ADDY award from the Ad Club of the Triangle.
