Safety Ambassadors

The Safety Ambassadors assist Downtown visitors, workers and residents by providing maps, guides, directions and information about restaurants and other attractions. They also patrol all of the Downtown parking decks and flat parking lots.  Finally, they serve as additional eyes and ears for the Raleigh Police Department and call 911 at the first sign of an emergency situation.  The Safety Ambassadors are trained to handle a variety of circumstances, including:

  • Parking information
  • Directions / Way-finding
  • Information about dining, shopping and other downtown attractions
  • Calls for assistance to police, fire, EMS and AAA
  • Escorts along public property
  • Downtown project information
  • Security
  • Starting cars with dead batteries

Hours of Operation:

6 am-12 midnight

Thursday and Friday
6 am-2 am

10 am until 2 am on Sunday

6 pm-12 midnight
