Showgram's Bob Dumas to Host Charity Event at the Ipreo Ice Rink

RALEIGH, NC (January 21, 2016)—The Downtown Raleigh Alliance invites media coverage at the Ipreo Ice Rink on Wednesday, Jan. 27 when Bob Dumas of Raleigh’s top-rated radio morning show will host “Bob’s Buddies Skate.” The rink is located in Raleigh’s City Plaza in the heart of downtown and remains open through Jan. 31, 2016.

After being diagnosed with a tumor in 2007, Dumas started the Bob’s Buddies program to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF). On Jan. 27, 25% of all proceeds at the rink will be donated to PBTF.  Festivities start when the rink opens at 4 p.m. that day.

In addition to the charity component, Bob and the Showgram will be on-site at the rink playing music, sharing success stories, and hosting giveaways.

PBTF, a world-wide organization, is the leading funder of childhood brain tumor research. They serve over 28,000 children living with a brain tumor and provide education and resources to families in addition to the $26 million invested in research since 1991.
