Explore the historic heart of downtown Raleigh, Fayetteville Street! Every Saturday @ 2 pm beginning January 6, the City of Raleigh Museum will offer Fayetteville Street Walking Tours. The heart of Raleigh’s history is centered on “North Carolina’s Main Street,” a half-mile long street with a rich and colorful past, whose buildings and stories have helped shape the Raleigh we know today. In honor of this legacy, the City of Raleigh Museum will offer one-hour, one-mile guided walking tours (beginning and ending at the museum) every Saturday afternoon during 2018. Tours will highlight the people, places, architecture, and political movements that make up the over 200 years of Raleigh’s history. Tickets can be purchased at the museum on the day of the tour and space is limited. Adults (18+) $10; Youth (7-17) $4; Children (6 & under) Free. Tours are subject to cancellation due to weather.
