North Carolina Symphony Gala
PAST DATES AND TIMES
- Saturday, October 7, 2017 6pm - 11pm
LOCATION: City Plaza - 400 block Fayetteville St
We invite you to join us for a magical black-tie evening under twinkling lights in the heart of downtown Raleigh, where City Plaza will be transformed with sparkling chandeliers seeming to hang from the sky under a translucent canopy. At beautifully adorned tables running along Fayetteville Street, arts lovers of our community will come together to enjoy a meal envisioned by James Beard Award-winner Vivian Howard—co-owner of Kinston, North Carolina’s much-raved-about Chef and the Farmer restaurant, star of PBS’s A Chef’s Life, and author of the new book Deep Run Roots. (Read the News & Observer's recent feature on Chef Howard).
Don't miss this opportunity to experience Chef Howard's famous Southern cuisine in the heart of the Triangle! Guests will enjoy cocktails and a delicious dinner in her tradition of local, farm-to-table ingredients. Musical vignettes will delight guests at key moments throughout the evening. The Gala supports the North Carolina Symphony in our mission to bring inspiring classical music performances and invaluable music education to the entire state of North Carolina.
Associated Street Closures:
Fayetteville Street between Davie Street and Lenoir Street will be closed from 6:00pm on 10-6-17 until 5:59am on 10-8-17.
Note: Local vehicular traffic will have access to the 500 block of Fayetteville Street.
