LOCATION: Imurj - 300 S. McDowell St

Smoke From All The Friction will celebrate the release of their first album on May 11 at Imurj! Free food for everyone, free giveaways, and a chance to win over 50 fantastic prizes. Ft. Ryan Dunson of Rookie of the Year, The Band Sorelle, and Jacob Dixon The event aims to promote a culture of inclusion and collaboration within the Raleigh community and beyond. A variety of local artists/designers will be showcased. SFATF's blend of traditional and underground cultures creates a fusion of dark pop, rock, and indie electronic that grabs listeners with both a sense of familiarity and a striking curiosity. They explore what happens when we are authentic, vulnerable and honest - when we venture outside ourselves, past the abstract social constructs that create barriers between us. Instead of simply offering a musical performance for mere entertainment, they inspire a deeper, thought-provoking appreciation between the audience and the music itself, painting a beautiful aural artwork and complex harmony in each note. This cutting-edge act draws influence from top artists like Nine Inch Nails, Bjork, Chainsmokers, Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, 30 Seconds to Mars, Owl City, and Massive Attack. $5 at the door.
